Ah, yes...the joys of picture texting! I saw that Steph and Angela both posted, so now I am! LOL!! This is what happens when you're bored at work with nothing to do! LOL!!

My big girl!

We have finally decided to get Jenna into a big girl bed! I know, I know...trust me, I've had a ton of opinions on this down to us still treating Jenna like a baby. But, in our defense, it wasn't because I wasn't ready to have her in a big girl bed, it was just so easy to put her to bed without a fight and her coming out and dealing with the battles. She couldn't climb out and it made nighttime easy for us! She was great when we put her to bed!

We haven't gone out and gotten her a true big girl bed yet, we just took the front bars off of the crib, so if you can picture it, it's more like a crib day bed. LOL! She can get in and out easily. We plan on going out and getting her a bed, it's just been so busy lately with everything going on that I just haven't had that chance yet.

The first night she did great! She was all excited that she could climb into her bed that she did just that, said her goodnights and a peaceful night we all had! Last night was a slightly different story though...Tom, my Dad and Brian were working on the roof of the patio. As you all know, Jenna is attached to the hip with Brian. If he's somewhere she is, he BEST be holding her or within inches of her. LOL! Well, it was time for bed, Jenna says her goodnights and up we go. She jumps in her bed, we sing our sings (Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star; Wheels on the Bus; ABC's), I give her a hug and a kiss, say goodnight and then out I go.

About 15 minutes later, Tom comes into the computer room and tells me to check on Jenna soon because he found her just sitting at the top of the stairs and put her back in bed. He said to check on her in another 10 minutes or so.

10 minutes later, I go up and there she is sitting on her bed. I put her back and give her a hug and a kiss and she goes back to bed.

Another 10 minutes later, she's on our bed.

Me: Jenna...what are you doing? You have to go in your bed!
Jenna: I lookin' fer my bunny.
Me: Your bunny? It's in your bed. C'mon, let's go.
Jenna: Oh.......where's my Brian?
Me: He went home and had to go nite-nite too.
Jenna: Oh........I want to talk to my Brian.
Me: He's sleeping. Why don't you go sleep just like Brian.
Jenna: Oh.....kay.

And back to bed we went! LOL!

Now it's about 9:15ish. She's now downstairs. LOL!

Me: Jenna! Come on, let's go back to bed.
Jenna: I.......*deep breath*...........waaaaaaant maaaaaaaaahhhhh.....*big crocodile tear falling down* DAAAAAAAAADDDDDDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I go and get Tom and he puts her to bed. LOL! After that, she was out cold!

I know, I have MANY more days ahead of me where it's going to be rough at night. This is only the beginning....

Yummy!!!

Whew!! It's been a while since I've updated!! There has been so much going on! I still have a ton of pictures to post from when we went to the zoo, but my laptop is busted, so I haven't had time to get that fixed. We're also working on the patio and that's almost done!!! I have updated pictures of that too!!! Don't worry, I will get on the ball and get them posted!!

But I wanted to share the 2 pictures below - last night, we had some grilled pork, corn on the cob and noodles for dinner and it was Jenna's first time having corn on the cob! She LOVES corn, but we just haven't given her corn on the cob yet - no reason really, just never did. Well, she LOVED it! She was so proud when she was done that she had to run and show me and Tom! LOL!!

We're home!!

Just a quick summary of this weekend (it was a busy weekend! Check out Heather and Steph's blogs too, I'm sure they'll mention something I'm forgetting! LOL!) - Steph, myself and the kids (yes, that's right, 2 adults with 4 kids!) all went down to VA to visit Tom's cousin and her family and his Aunt and Uncle and we had a great time!! (Thanks again for everything Heather and Aunt Joanne!!!) We left here about 8:30am on Friday and got there shortly after noon. All of the kids did great on the drive! They got a bit restless towards the end, but that was to be expected. We felt like Jon & Kate Plus 8! LOL!

That night, we went to Henry's house and hung out with everyone and had dinner. Uncle Henry decided to put the kids to work, hand them some brooms and shovels and let them go to town on his driveway! LOL! Then, to reward them, he took them out for Dorango Rides! LOL! He put them in his SUV and took them around the woods! Jenna learned a quick lesson...when going through the woods, don't stick your head out the window! LMAO! She got a small scratch on her face, it's practically gone now!

Then Saturday, we spent the day at the waterpark that is by Heather's house, it was SO much fun! I wish we had something like that around here! :-( The girls loved playing in the water and sliding down the slides. Anthony was alright with the water, but he would much rather explore! LOL!!

Then this morning, Tom's Aunt and Uncle cooked us an amazing breakfast and then off the road we went! We got gome about 3:30ish and now I'm stuck unpacking and doing laundry. Back to work tomorrow!

Conversations with a 2 year old - part II

This morning was a great morning, Jenna woke up, no temper tantrums, got dressed nicely, brushed her teeth, put her shoes on, etc. It was great! We get in the car, she gets strapped in and off to school we go! From my house to her school is about 5-10 minutes, sometimes she chats, sometimes we look for her school buses (yes, according to her, they are hers! LOL!), sometimes she wants to dance to the music.

Well, this morning was her chatty morning.

Jenna: Mommy...Mommy...Mommy...(yes, she has to say it 3 or more times, as if I'm ignoring her! LOL!)
Me: Yes?
Jenna: Daddy take my juithy!
Me: Did he? Why?
Jenna: He take it to work!
Me: Daddy took your juicy to work??
Jenna: Yesth. An' Neffie take my milky.
Me: Neffie took your milky too?? Oh no! Why?
Jenna: Thshe go ni-night.
Me: What about Brit and Leann?
Jenna: They cry.
Me: Oh, they cry? Anthony too?
Jenna: No.
Me: Well, I'll talk to Aunt Neffie and Daddy about that.
Jenna: An' get my milky. An' my juithy.
Me: Yes.

LOL!! LOL! It was quite humorous! I was trying to not laugh when Jenna was telling me this because she had a serious face!! She must have had a dream last night about it! LOL!!!
