Cousin Lurve!!!
Apparently, on the ride home from school, Leann had told Steph that when Hailey scratched Jenna, she took her sandle off and hit her with it. She was sticking up for Jenna!!! I'm sure Leann didn't know that it was an accident, she just saw it happen to Jenna and I guess she was thinking that no one hurts or makes Jenna cry...only they can! LOL! Gotta love that cousin lurve!!!
Below are pics of the scratch - really, its nothing. Jenna has forgotten all about it already!

*loud, obnoxious yawn*
I am seriously dragging today - Jenna had another bad dream last night. She woke up at 2am and everytime I calmed her down and put her back in bed, she'd wake up 2 seconds later. Finally, I decided to bring her downstairs and put her on her little couch that pulls out and I slept on the big couch right next to her. We finally fell asleep at 4am. At one point, I had the TV on downstairs, well I turned that off and she goes "Mah-mee...I can't see...I can't see!" so I tell her that the TV is broken and to close her eyes - and she did! LOL!!
I talked to her this morning and I asked her why she cried last night and she said to me "Um...dah-dee depped on my duckied an' he cwied." So, I'm guessing she had a bad dream that Tom stepped on her stuffed duck and her duck cried, which made her wake up crying. But she wouldn't go back to bed after that. Wait until I tell Tom THAT one!! HA!
I then tell her that her duckie was alright and Daddy didn't step on him and that he didn't have any boo-boo's. I showed her the duck and she goes "No boo-boo's?? Oh!" OH?!?!? That's it?!?!? Had I have known that, I would have done that at 2am this morning!!!
*loud obnoxious yawn again*

Mother's Day Weekend and Monday Blahness!
Sunday was a great Mother's Day for me! Jenna gave me my presents (which was some decorative wall stuff and seasons 1 through 4 of Sex In The City) and then her and Daddy went to his parent's house. Him and his brother went to go plant some flowers for their Mom. I went to my Mom's house and gave her gifts. Tom and I decided that he would go to his Mom's with Jenna and I would go to my Mom's so then it didn't feel like we were driving all day. After all, it is my day too, right? Like my Mom told me, they had years of Mother's Days with us, now its our turn! I was there for a few hours with the Mattoi's and then after lunch, I went home.
The rest of the day consisted of me laying on the couch with my feet up in the air just relaxing! Tom not only did everything around the house, but he made dinner for me (one of my fav's - Chicken Marsala) and got a cake for dessert. Then, after dinner, we all hung out and then Tom put Jenna to bed.
It was a great weekend!
Now...today...Monday blahness - the weather is shitty and rainy and cold and I'm ready to go home and put on my comfy pants. This morning, I was trying to get Jenna to say that she wanted to stay home with me today - she wouldn't say it! HA!
Hope all of the Mommies had a great Mommy's Day!! :-)

To All Mommy's!

An open letter to my daughter:
Jenna,
With Mother's Day coming up, I want to take this opportunity to express the joy that I feel with being your Mommy. Every morning when I wake up and see you smiling face, I truly feel blessed that you are my daughter. Never in my life did I ever think that I would have someone as special as you. I think about the past 2 years and I am proud of all that you have done, the day you took your first step, the day you tried that certain food for the first time, the day you sat on that big girl swing, the day you went down the slide all by yourself, the day you realized that cake is the best thing on earth, there's so much that I could go on and on. I love how proud you get of yourself when you give me the gifts that you make at school (recently the crown you made me to wear on Mother's Day that says Queen for the Day, which I will wear!). You love telling me what you did and how you did it.
I can remember the day that you were born, although it was very painful for Mommy, I wouldn't have changed it for anything. I remember the feeling that I had the second you were put in my arms, the range of emotions that I had and then it hit me - she's perfect. Even though you like to push my buttons from time to time, I'm realizing that you just want to be independent and want to do things on your own. You are a very determined little girl!
I don't need a day to know that you appreciate the things that I do for you, I see this each and every day with the hugs, kisses, thank you's and I love you's. I am so proud of you and I will continue to be proud of each and every thing you do. No matter what, I will always be here for you to support you and help guide you through whatever may come your way.
Love always,
Mommy

Hello Out There!
Hopefully soon he'll figure out what the issue is and fix it. Trust me, I have a lot of pictures and stories to share along with those pictures!
Until then...*lighting candle and holding a vigil over wireless router*
