"I'm stuck!" Part II

When Jenna goes to bed...
Tonight, I dared Tom to get on it and ride back and forth in the basement and it actually moved!! I was laughing so hard I was crying! There was this man, riding a pink girls 4-wheeler across the basement! The thing wouldn't even steer, and he was crashing into everything, all while holding his beer! LMFAO!
What makes it even more hilarious was that he was SOBER doing this!!!
Ah yes...Jenna would be proud of her Daddy! LOL!!!
"MOMMY! I'M STUCK!!!"
Anyway, this morning, after I got out of the shower, I went upstairs, turned off her air and looked over at her and she was awake. She was just laying there, she had just woken up. I said good morning to her and then walked to my room (I'll do that sometimes because she needs some time to wake up). I finished getting ready and was just about to get dressed when I hear her yell "HEY MOMMY! CAN YOU GET ME PLEASE?" I yell back that I was getting dressed and to give Mommy a minute and that I would be right there.
Then she goes "I STUCK!" LOL!
I go in there, and there she is, on the rail, sitting on it as if she was on a horse, and she couldn't go anywhere!! I asked her what she was doing and she goes "I comin' out!" LOL! LOL! That kid is too cute!!
Looks like we have a toddler bed in the very near future!
I couldn't get any pictures because a) my camera and my phone were both downstairs and b) I couldn't just leave her like that so Mommy could get the camera! LOL!

WALL-EEE!! YOU OKAY?!?!
So, I pick Jenna up from school and have some snacks and juice with me to bring to the movies with us. There was NO way I was going to spend a ton of money on their snacks! We get there for the 5:20 showing. When I got the tickets, Jenna wanted to hold hers and give it to the ticket lady, which she did! We walk down the hall and into the theater and I told Jenna that she could pick any seat she wanted to. She walked up the steps and then went in the row and picked her seat! There were a total of maybe 5 families in there, so it wasn't packed at all.
As soon as the previews came on, that was it for her! She sat back, held on to her juice and box of animal crackers and was amazed at how big the screen was!!! We saw previews for Madagascar 2 (which is coming out this fall!!), and that is one of her favorites, so she got SO excited when she heard the song "I like to move it, move it!" LOL! She started yelling "MOMMEEEE!!!! ANIMALS!!!!!" LOL!!
Then, after the previews, the lights went down and the sound got a little bit louder. I didn't know whether or not she would get scared, but she didn't! I was so proud of how great she did, she sat there the whole movie and didn't yell or talk or get up and want to walk around, she was very into the movie! There were some other kids that were there that didn't do so good, they wanted to run around, yell, pick a fight with their siblings, kick seats, etc. At one point, she was getting fidgety, but that's because she couldn't get comfortable, so I put her on my lap so she could lean back some and then she was fine.
It was funny, at one point in the movie, Wall-E (which is the robot) was getting squished. All of a sudden, just as it got quiet, Jenna yells out "OH MY GOD! WALL-EEEE! YOU OKAY?!? WHAT HAPPENED TO MY WALL-EEEEE!!!!" LOL!! Of course, everyone that was in the theater giggled because that's all you heard was Jenna's little voice! LOL!!
After the movie was over, she stood up, clapped and yelled YAY! LOL! It really was such a great time and I will definitely take her to the movies again. I was so proud of her and praised her when we got out about how great she did and how much of a good girl she was for Mommy and that I would take her again as long as she's a good girl for me.
Below are 2 pictures that I took with my camera phone, I didn't think to bring my camera! So, sorry for the fuzzy pictures - she didn't want to look away from the screen, even though the movie hadn't started yet! LOL!

My bitching post....part II
1. Smoke Breaks - these are meant to go outside and take a break from work. Not hear you jabber on and on and on about shit that I don't care about when it comes to work. I don't do your job. I have no clue HOW to do your job. Therefore, do the math....let's take a "break" from that, shall we?
2. Insurance only allows eye visits every other year. Hear that Mr. Eye Guy? EVERY OTHER YEAR! I need more contacts, not another damn eye visit where I get to pay $40 for you to sit 1 inch from my face while I smell what you had for lunch a few hours ago. Just order me the same damn contacts. They are still fine with my eyes!
3. Remote Engineer. Isn't that a great title to have? How is it that someone gave you that title when you have no clue how to do your job? It's none of your business as to why I would need to log in from home. It's none of your business as to why I haven't before. Do me a favor, either do your job that you claim to know or get me someone that can help me.
4. Using abbreviations means nothing to me. I have NO clue what you're saying and it's not really impressing me. The deer in headlights look that you're getting does not mean "Uh-huh, yeah, I totally get it!" What it actually means is "Mecca-lecca-high-mecca-hiney-ho."
5. If you're skinnier than me...and I mean obviously skinnier than me....don't call yourself a cow or say how fat you are. If you think you're the cow, then what am I? Thanks for the compliment. Appreciate it.
6. I don't drink anymore. I have my reasons. For the love of God, can you stop questioning me as to why over and over again and then dare me to have a beer??! How about I dare you to not have one with me and save yourself from looking stupid. Deal?
7. Jenna...the toilet at home is the same as at school, at Grammy and Pop-Pop's house, at Neffie's house...would you just sit on it and pee and stop making Mommy and Daddy look like we want you to go to college wearing Pull Ups?! (Ok, I have to laugh at this one, she really is stubborn and I believe she knows what she's doing and does this to annoy us! LOL!)
8. I dance when I hear a song I love. I move and groove when I'm in the car and I hear a song that I'm enjoying. Yes, I wave my arms and sing along as if I'm standing next to Mariah Carey. Don't stare at me. Let me be happy and stop staring at me. Put on 106.1 and join me!
9. The fridge at work is not the same as your family fridge at home. I buy something. I put it in there. It's mine. Keep your greedy hands off of it or else I'm putting Keopectate in it so you'll never shit again. Got it?
10. My biggest bitch yet - DUI's. If you get a DUI, I don't care if it's your first offense or twenty-first offense, you need more than a slap on the wrist. You made the decision to drink and drink and keep drinking and then decide to get in the car giving 2 shits about anyone but yourself. Don't cry as if you're now sorry. You're sorry you got caught and couldn't make it all the way home to pass out. I don't feel sorry for you. Feel sorry for those lives that you ruined, whether its your family or someone elses. I could go on and on about this one because it really makes me angry how people get away with what they get away with.
Ok, that's it for the day! :-)

Future Police Officer? Fisher-woman? Mechanic?
Jenna, the Mechanic
As Tom is under the car, there's Jenna with her hands on her knees, crouched down going "Daddy...whatcha doin'? Changing the roil?" She held the filter for him, handing him the tools and wanted to get down and dirty with him! Of course, he didn't let her go under the car (not this time at least), but he let her hand him the tools and then when it was time to turn the car over, he put her in his lap and taught her all about it. It was pretty cute! Even our neighbors were outside thought that it was cute that he was teaching her, even though she just wanted to be around him.
Jenna the Police Officer
Right after her bath and scrubbing her dirty self, we settled down for quiet time, which in the Lawson house, quiet time is at 8pm, but last night it was about 7:30ish. It's the half hour or so down time before bed because if she's playing, then it takes us longer to get her settled for bed. Her and I are laying there and she's asking for Nemo...well, I'm not going to put a movie on because it's not going to end in a half hour and if I try to turn it off early, freak-outs happen. So, I flip through the channels and what comes on? COPS! She goes "OOOOH! FIRE MAN!" I explain to her that they are police men and police women and they help get the bad boys and bad girls and keep all of the good boys and good girls safe. As we're watching it, there's a guy that they catch after a long, high speed chase and she's yelling at the TV "GET THE BAD BAD BOY! NO! NO! NOT NICE!"
Of course....after it was over....the song came on...you know, the "bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do...whatcha gonna do when they come for you"...yeah, I had to teach her that song, so now she sings it!! LOL!
Ah yes...parenting at it's finest...let me go polish off the mother-of-the-year trophy. LOL!!
Jenna the Fisherwoman
Deadliest Catch...anyone ever see it? It's a show where there are 5 or 6 fisherman boats and it shows them out at sea fishing and each season is a different fish that they set out to catch. These guys make some damn good money, but it's one of the dangerous-est (is that a word? LOL!) jobs out there. After Cops was over, I was flipping through and saw that it was on!
Jenna: NEMO!
Me: No, this isn't Nemo, it's a fish show where they are catching fish for everyone to eat for dinner. (great explination, huh?)
Jenna: Where'd Nemo go?
Me: Nemo is at home going night-night for his Mommy. (I couldn't tell her that they were catching Nemo!)
Jenna: GET THE FISHIES!!! GO! GO! GET THE FISHIES! WHOA! WATER! FISHIES! LOOK MOMMY!
She got excited to watch them fishing!!!
Do I have the future fisherwoman, cop or mechanic?! LOL!

Me: Oh yeah?
Jenna: Yeth. My By-nin, my Neffie, my An-na-nee, my Bit-nee and my Leee-ahn comin' ta my housth.
[notice the MY's...]
Me: Well, why are they coming over?
Jenna: Becauth I thaid tho.
[blink, blink]
Yes...she did just say that to me! LOL! I know where she got that from...me! She got into asking why over and over again and finally, that's the final response I gave to her and she done used that against me! LOL! Smart girl...

Monday Random-ness...
Is it bad that I just ate 6 cookies? In one sitting?
For lunch?
As I'm sitting here, debating what to have for lunch (as Steph suggested McD's! LOL!), I remembered that I had 6 cookies in my desk drawer that a coworker had gotten for me last week. She saw them in the bakery and thought I would love them. And I did. They were sugar cookies with apricot drops in the middle.
Very good.
Apricots...they are a fruit...so my thinking was that they weren't all that bad, I covered the fruit category, right?
Yes. I'm bored.
And thinking about cookies.
Now my hunger for some double bacon cheeseburger and fries has gone away, thanks to my lovely cookies.
See...now I don't feel so bad.
Ok....back to work. This post was pointless but I feel better now! LOL!
Carry on...

Anthony's First Birthday Party!
Poor Jenna wasn't feeling so good, she had a fever in the morning, but then it broke but as the day went on, it came back so we had to leave to come home. She's doing much better today though. Angela and Gina came and I just have to tell you how hilarious it was, Gina has a serious addiction to dips! LOL! No sooner would Angela clean her up, she'd find some way to slip under Mommy's radar and go and get more dip! And when I say get more dip, I mean using her chip as a spoon and just eating the dip! LOL!
The girls did great there too, all playing nicely, although we did have some fighting at the end, but for the most part, they were great! Below are a couple of pictures from his party!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANTHONY!!!!!
This morning was too cute - today at school, they are having a 4th of July party and all of the kids had to bring in some kind of treat. Well, I got those frosted animal crackers (SO good!) for her to bring in. Well, as we're leaving the house, I'm telling her to wait a minute so I can grab her treats for school.
Just a little background, for the past couple of days, I've been telling her that we'll be singing to Anthony soon because it's his birthday. She LOVES singing the birthday song. We were in the store the other day and she saw a balloon and she goes "MAH-MEE! HAPPY BIR-DAY!" and starts singing! LOL!!
Anyway, as I'm grabbing the bag, she asks if she can carry the treats - so I give her the bag and she looks up at me and goes "Mah-mee....happy bir-day Ann-na-nee!"
She remembered! I thought that was so cute!
So - happy birthday Ann-na-nee!!! LOL!

Mushy Post Alert!! :-)
Open letter to Anthony:
Dear Ant-nee,
From the moment I found out that you were in Mommy's belly, I was so excited and couldn't wait to meet you. I remember the day that you were born, as if it was yesterday. Mommy and Daddy were so excited to finally meet you, everyone was! When I first met you, I had to fight back the tears because bundled up in your little blanket, you looked like a peaceful, perfect little baby. As we watch you grow, each day, and watch you accomplish so much in such a year's time, we can't help but sit back and be so proud! It's easy for us to walk into a room and instantly smile because the second we look at you, there you are one step ahead of us cheesing. We look forward to watching you grow and seeing what you are going to become and no matter what life throws at you, just like your Mommy and Daddy, you will come out above and succeed.
Love always - Aunt Mamie, Uncle Tommy and Jenna
