Uncle Bi-nan....

*glaring*

That's all I got the other day when I had to break it to Jenna that Uncle Bi-nan wasn't going to be at school. Just a little background, Jenna ADORES Uncle Brian (Steph's husband). She doesn't want to play with him, she doesn't want to talk to him, she just wants to be in the same room as him and wants to be held by him the whole time. Its the cutest thing ever. If you ask Brian about it, he'll tell you that the only way he'll get a hug is when Jenna is around, and its the truth! She's not like that with anyone else but him!

Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, I always get Jenna excited for school by telling her that Anthony, Brittany and Leann are going to be at school. Never fails, every day, she asks if Uncle Bi-nan is going to be there. Every day I have to tell her "No honey, he's working." and she's fine with that answer. Well - this past Wednesday, Brian had off from work, so he took the kids in to school so when we pulled up, he made a liar out of me. She was SO happy to see him, it was as if we just bought her a new puppy! She got her hug and he held her and then we went into school and she was good. Then, when I went to pick her up, Brian and I timed it so then we would arrive at the same time. Again, when we walked into school together, Jenna freaked and ran right to him and didn't want him to put her down.

Fast forward to Thursday.........its the usual morning and I'm telling her that Anthony, Brittany and Leann are at school waiting for her and how exciting is that! Here is how the rest of the morning went:
Amy: JENNA! Let's go to school! Anthony and Brittany and Leann are waiting for you!
Jenna: YAY! AND UNCLE BI-NAN!!!!
Amy: No honey, not today, he's at work.
Jenna: *scowling* No work. Uncle Bi-nan school!
Amy: No honey, that was yesterday, not today, he's at work.
Jenna: *glaring at me, eyes filling with tears*

She then goes on to cry and fights with me getting her jacket on, getting her hat on, getting in the car, getting strapped in and the whole ride to school, she won't talk to me, won't say anything and when I look at her through the rear view mirror, I'm getting death glares. We get to school and she fights with me taking her jacket and hat off and when I pick her up to take her into her room, she's kicking me. I put her down, she goes and sits on her teacher's lap and then continues to glare at me. So, I'm trying to give her a kiss goodbye and tell her I love her and to have a good day and what does she do? Glare at me again and goes "No good day! No bye!"

I tell her teacher what happened and she just laughs and shakes her head. I'm telling you, if it was up to my daughter, she'd hang out with Uncle Bi-nan ALL DAY LONG! I asked Steph if he would quit his job and hang out with her all day, but she didn't think that would be possible!

My bitching post....

Since I have yet to have a post like this, I feel as if today is the day that I use this as my therapy. I'm going to list all of my current annoyances! LOL! Don't know if this is going to help, but let's give it a try!

1. When you're working in an office and you sit in a cubicle, please do not sing. You are not the next Whitney Houston, we all know it. I think its about time you realize it too.

2. When driving and you're making a turn, no need to make this turn with your foot on the breaks going 0.5 miles an hour. The rest of us behind you do not need to wait 10 minutes for you to turn! GO!

3. My title is Administrative Assistant. Not Administrative Assistant/IT Tech/Printer Bitch for Hewlett Packard. Please do not complain to me that the color printer doesn't work because you kept pushing buttons that obviously didn't work. You screwed it up, now you figure out how to fix it.

4. If you have to shit and you're at work, please go home or to the gas station or somewhere other than the office. The rest of us do not need to smell you stench and Meadowing Flowers air freshener does not cover up the smell, it only makes it smell worse. Common courtesy to the rest of us is to stop with the crop dusting and switch up your diet so that whatever you eat does not go through you. My hair curdles when you leave the bathroom.

5. If I email you and tell you that I'm currently working on your issue, please do not call me 10 minutes later and ask me for a status. Obviously when I find out the answer, I will let you know. Calling me does not make me work faster.

6. Cordless headsets are great. But that doesn't mean you get to walk around the office having a conversation for everyone to hear. Keep it at your desk or else I'm going to hook up fish line in front of me to see you fall as you walk by.

7. When its obvious that I'm looking at the greeting cards in front of me in the store, its polite to say "excuse me" when you want to reach and get one that I'm in front of. I'll move, trust me. Don't just jump in front of me and grab it all while bumping me with your purse. Next time, I might accidently kick you.

8. Kids like to wipe their noses with their arms and shirts. When they do it over and over again, obviously its going to get extra raw under there. Its not that I didn't wipe her nose, its that she hid from me to wipe her own nose. Don't ask me what happened to my child's nose if you don't know me and as if you expect me to say "Well, I popped her in the face because she asked for one too many cookies."

9. "Jazzed" is not a cool word, please don't use it over and over again as if it is.

10. I clean the whole house. Walking the trash out to the curb 2 times a week is not a big deal, so don't complain. Just shut up and do it and don't say to me "Well, if its not a big deal, then why can't you do it when you see it?" Instead of playing your playstation, use that phrase to clean the basement. Shut up.

11. I'm working on quitting smoking. I appreciate those that just ask how its going with it and tell me that its great that I'm working on it. It doesn't help when I tell you that I'm having one here and there and you look at me as if I'm telling you that I'm dabbling in drugs. Its a cigarette. I'm addicted. Get off my back, I'm doing better than before (almost was up to a pack a day) and I'm working on my own progress to quit. I'm not doing this for you.

Whew!! Ok, had to get some of those off my chest and now I'm feeling better! This is in no way directed at anyone that reads this, as you can tell, a lot of this has to do with work and those outside of work! LOL! LOL!

The Attack of the Snots!

My poor Jenna-boo is sick! This is the 2nd time, in 2 years, that I've had to stay home with her from school. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving the day off, taking care of my lil' girl! I just hate when she's sick, she doesn't know what she wants and whatever she asks for, she then says that she doesn't want it. Gotta love sick toddlers!

Hopefully she'll feel better soon, and if not, I'll proudly stay home tomorrow! :-)

Bye for now!
